FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions on FEED, grid connection studies, China equipment sourcing and delivery schedules.

What is the difference between FEED and detailed design?

FEED fixes the scheme backbone — single-line diagrams, equipment selection, layout and CAPEX — producing a package that supports tendering and financing. Detailed design then produces construction-ready drawings, bill of quantities and installation details. FEED determines bankability; detailed design determines constructability.

What does a grid connection study include?

Typically load flow, short-circuit analysis, power quality (harmonics/flicker), reactive power and voltage control, protection coordination, transient stability and grid code compliance assessment — delivered against the local grid code and IEC/IEEE standards to support the utility connection application.

How do you manage standards and quality risk when sourcing equipment from China?

The core is a clause-by-clause mapping between China GB standards and the destination country / IEC standards: clarifying gaps at specification stage, comparing functionally-equivalent options at selection stage, verifying type test reports during bid evaluation, witnessing FAT before shipment and submitting a full documentation package for owner's engineer review.

Can you act as Owner's Engineer?

Yes. We provide independent technical assurance for owners and investors: design review, drawing audit and development, simulation verification, preparation of EPC tender technical documents, bid evaluation and contract negotiation support, FAT witnessing and construction-stage technical clarification.

How is a solar-storage-diesel microgrid sized?

Start with load profiling and an hourly load curve, then run annual time-series simulation on solar/wind resource data. Storage capacity and genset dispatch are optimised against a reliability target (e.g. N-1 or LPSP) and minimum lifecycle cost, followed by verification of harmonics, voltage deviation and protection coordination.

What is a typical delivery schedule for an overseas project?

Feasibility studies and resource assessment typically take 4–8 weeks; FEED 8–16 weeks; detailed design 12–24 weeks depending on scale. Equipment sourcing support and commercial advisory can run in parallel at any stage. Preliminary technical feedback is provided within 48 hours of receiving project basics.
